Janet Lesniak

Janet Lesniak, an artist since the age of eight, began her journey inspired by Jackson Pollock, creating vibrant, splattered paintings. Equipped with a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and Fine Arts, she pioneered creative arts therapy programs. Managing the Big Sur River Inn for over 20 years, she welcomed global visitors. In 2009, she moved to Wellfleet, becoming the first Executive Director of Wellfleet Preservation Hall. Rooted in healing and wellness through creativity, Janet explores color, shape, and texture, in her encaustic art. The play of light within layers of wax breathes life into her abstract landscapes.
